Daily Dose of Di Vol. 2, Issue 3

Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone has had a great week so far and finally feels kind of back in the swing of things.
  • Globes gossip: Our apartment watched the Globes together Sunday night on @Ri’s bed (she has the only TV in our apartment). I was definitely incredibly excited to see all the inspiring speeches and monumental wins of the evening, but in the heat of the moment I failed to notice how half of the people in attendance seemed to live in a separate world from the others.
  • Sleep struggles: As someone who has spent most of her life passing out in bed almost as soon as my head hits the pillow, it’s been a weird sensation not being able to sleep well the last couple of weeks. However, thanks to my dear friend @Liz, I am on a path to finding a supplement or regimen that helps me get to sleep before 3 AM. Also, it’s good to remember that there are many people out there who have it even worsethanks to their partners in bed.
  • Lost loves: I don’t know how many of your read When Breath Becomes Air, Stanford surgeon Paul Kalanthi’s memoir about getting a terminal cancer diagnosis, but his wife featured prominently in the book as he was concerned about her and his daughter’s lives after his passing. Well, it turns out this his wife found a fateful match with a widower whose wife also published a memoir about facing terminal cancer. In light of their struggles, it’s kind of humbling to think that texting is often the source ofmost of our dating drama.
  • Skincare saga: As obsessive as I am about skincare, I’m not quite sure I could see myself going down the same spiral as this woman has when it comes to keeping her skin flawless.
  • Celebrity call-outs: In case you were wondering what a good half-birthday present for me would be (March 26 isn’t too far away), then please do me the favor of having Drew Seeley, Dina Lohan, or Andy Milonakis record me a video greeting. I would even be happy with Tay Zonday. It’s only $50 a video, so perhaps expect this as the only gift I ever get all of you from now on.
Have a great rest of your day!
